Heritage Rail Trail Coalition

The following Trustees were present at the monthly meeting:

Ruth Adamonis, Becky Katz, Dave Parkinson, Joe Cofer, Tom Katzenmeyer, Shawn Richardson, Ray Dechert, Chris Mason, Jeff Mason, Don Schonhardt, Virginia Dill, Mary Sheskey, Len Fisher, Terry McGinnis-Miles, Lance Younker

Also present were the following:

Richard Rapp, Dawn Hodges - Metro Parks

 

The meeting was called to order by President Don Schonhardt.

 

Minutes

Len Fisher moved that the minutes of the February 12, 2002 meeting be approved. Seconded by Lance Younker. All in favor.

 

Treasurer's Report

Treasurer Len Fisher presented the monthly treasurer's report. Ray Dechert moved that the treasurer's report be approved. Seconded by Virginia Dill. All in favor.

 

Communications/Announcements

Don Schonhardt announced that we received the registration for the RTC Ohio Trails and Greenways Conference on April 19th. Len Fisher will be attending.

 

Don Schonhardt thanked Chris Mason for drafting a letter to the Hilliard Visitors & Convention Bureau requesting funding assistance for the reprinting of our brochures.

 

Committee Reports

Fund Raising - nothing new to report.

 

Government Relations - continuing to work on the trail extension as a cooperative effort. The City has applied for grant monies to be used for the trail.

 

Land Acquisition and Construction Committee - same as above.

 

Membership and Dues Committee - nothing new to report

 

Public Relations Committee - work on the website is progressing. The committee is still looking into places to host the site. An April issue of the newsletter is being planned.

 

Usage and Integration Committee -the next activity will be the April 27th Clean Up. Plans are being made for National Trail Day on June 1st.

 

Old Business

The new court date has been set for April 15th on the disputed property north of Hayden Run has been postponed by the Madison County Court. Anyone interested in attending should call Don Schonhardt.

 

Richard Rapp thanked everyone for their input on the signs and showed some drawings of the proposed placement.

 

New Business

No new business.

 

A motion to adjourn was made by Virginia Dill. Seconded by Dave Parkinson. All in favor.
